Hip-hop superstar Future has made a surprise announcement today (Wednesday, 13th May), giving fans details about his new album High Off Life.
The most exciting part of the announcement? It’s out this Friday.
The album will be 21 tracks long and includes an absolute smorgasbord of some of Future’s hip-hop contemporaries, including Drake, Travis Scott, DaBaby, Young Thug, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Lil Baby, Meek Mill and more.
High Off Life was originally called Life Is Good, as per a recent interview Future did with XXL Magazine. It is likely that the title was changed due to its slight tone-deafness in the time of the coronavirus pandemic.
Check out the album’s artwork and tracklist below.

The single’s debut came at the end of a six-song virtual concert inside the Fortnite game and Travis Scott’s giant avatar thing makes an entrance and a half. The ASTRONOMICAL event itself looks bloody sick too.

Boosie Badazz concert in Gardena Friday night ended prematurely after gunfire rang out in the venue leaving patrons scampering for their lives.
According to reports, there were multiple shootings and at least one of them was caught on camera by a drone flying overhead. TMZ posted the graphic footage showing the moments when one person held up a gun and started shooting. Cops are investigating the incident that left two persons suffering from gunshot wounds and several other nursing various other injuries caused from the melee.
In the clip, you can see where someone return the fire while partygoers flee the scene. The motive of the shooter is not known and there is nothing in the video that shows what agitated him. Boosie has since reacted to the concert shooting by posting a clip on Instagram and writing in the caption, “COMPTON They say Cali crazy n sometimes ……… they was fighting the whole night they showed me nothing but love tho.” Watch the video clip below.
Boosie concerts have been plagued with violence this year. In April, his show at Virginia Motorsports Park, in North Dinwiddle, Virginia, was canceled because someone started firing shots inside of the venue before the Louisiana rapper even went on stage. In March, another one of his concerts in Decatur, Illinois, ended prematurely after a massive brawl broke out in the audience.
Offset shouldn’t be jealous because he gets to sleep next to her. It’s no secret that Cardi B is a huge dancehall fan and Vybz Kartel represents the pinnacle of the genre so it’s no surprise either that he is her favorite artist. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper was in Jamaica last week to shoot a music video for a song with Rvssian and reggaeton artist Ozuna. There are already rumors of a collaboration with Vybz Kartel in the works and that was likely orchestrated by Rvssian.
Cardi B posted a screenshot of a post Vybz Kartel made on Instagram last month giving her a big shoutout. “I can cry @vybzkartel is my favorite artist of all time Me and my friends teenagehood was all about dancing to @vybzkartel #FreeVybz,” she wrote. Bardi also regularly post videos of herself vibing Vybz Kartel songs.
Cardi B is the biggest success story in hip hop this year thanks to her breakout hit single “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves).” The song peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart making her the second woman in history to top the chart with a solo record. The first female artist to achieve that success was Lauryn Hill in 1998. The former Love and Hip Hop New York star is currently working on her debut album.
Vybz Kartel continues to make his mark on dancehall six years after his incarceration. Over the last two months alone, he has released enough music to make two albums and almost all of his new singles have been hits in the dancehall space. Kartel is currently awaiting his appeal trial in February next year and he is also working on an upcoming project, due early next year.
The “Uncle Demon” is out to get blood and his sight is set on a confrontation with Mavado. The Gullyside singjay link up with DJ Frass for the gritty new diss track where he took some shots at Tommy Lee. “Them a scam badness them a joker / So fi them crime a fi solve I moca / When mi set the timer its a over / Family cry and them can’t get no closure,” Mavado sings.
Tommy Lee posted a video clip on IG asking his fans if he should respond. “Wa them a say angel in a demon fight, wrong time yo go buy down a market man… who fi dead mi fans who fi dead,” he said. His fans reacted telling him to drop something for Mavado. “Mavado kill him sparta for life,” one fan wrote. “Kill everything pon the gully side all the one name flex who a call up your name. Kill all the Vendetta fool and Jahmiel.”
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper was in Jamaica last week to shoot a music video for the famed producer but seems that was not all she did in reggae land. There were some rumors floating around claiming that she visited Vybz Kartel in prison, but sources told us that did not happen. Instead, she spends some time at GeeJam villa where there is a studio and record some new music.
Over the weekend, Cardi B wrote on Instagram that Vybz Kartel is her favorite artist of all time. “I can cry @vybzkartel is my favorite artist of all time Me and my friends teenagehood was all about dancing to @vybzkartel #FreeVybz,” she wrote. She didn’t mention the new collaborative single, but what artist don’t want to work with their idol.
Rvssian and Vybz Kartel are again working on new music. Last week the longtime collaborators released the new hit single “Kremlin” featured on the producer’s new project, Moscow Riddim. The incarcerated deejay has cranked up the dial in the past two months by releasing a flurry of new singles including “Mhm Hm,” “Don’t Come Back,” and “Kremlin.”
Ishawna is cuing up “Equal Rights” part two, a song tentatively titled “Eat It.”
The female dancehall star ignited a heated debate in dancehall earlier this year with “Equal Rights” not just for its sexually explicit lyrics, but more for the message she is sending to the male fans in dancehall. Last weekend she previewed a new single that sounds more like a “Equal Rights” followup. The new single sampled Michael Jackson’s classic “Beat It” but Ishawn put a spin on it and say “Eat It.”
“Ishawna “Equal Rights” Jackson Ladies should I release the full version? #EatIt,” she wrote on Instagram. Some of her fans are saying it’s time for her to move on to another topic, while others support the new single. “Too much about eatings now its time to tackle another topic, this kind a getting played out now Ishawna,” one fan wrote. Nevertheless, sources inside her circle confirmed with Dancehall HipHop that the new single could arrive as early as this week.

Chyna and Playboi fuel dating rumors when they both posted videos of themselves together on their SnapChat. Chyna first raised some eyebrows when she posted on SnapChat “Keep my name out ya mouth.” Her followers were wondering who was she throwing shots at. Some folks thought that she referencing Kim Kardashian who did an interview with Jennifer Lawrence on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Lawrence asked her about Blac Chyna and she declined to comment.
Now we know that she was talking about Playboi Carti’s ex-girlfriend Rubi Rose. Chyna posted a Snap of herself driving her new Ferrari while the rapper ride in the passenger side. Carti then posted a snap of Chyna sitting in her sport car wearing his chain. Perhaps the two are just working on a new mixtape or just hanging out as friends. Nevertheless, Chyna is notorious with among young rappers so lets see where this goes.
Cardi B was in Jamaica this week to shoot a video with Rvssian and reggaeton artist Ozuma.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper touched down in Jamrock on Wednesday via a private jet and we’re told that she was staying at the secluded GeeJam villa in Portland. Sources told us that the trio were shooting the video for the single “Sooner.” Cardi B announced via Instagram Live on Wednesday that she is on her way to Jamaica. “On my way to Jamaica!” she wrote sending her Jamaican fans into a frenzy.
On Friday, Rvssian posted a video clip on IG of himself and Cardi B hanging out on set the video shoot. “We in Jamaica,” Cardi B said. “We doing this video for sooner and its hotter than a motherf****.” In October, Rvssian posted a photo of himself, Card and Ozuma in the studio recording the new single.
“We shooting the video with Cardi B and Ozuna in Jamaica, so we bringing the culture to Jamaica,” the producer said. “And the song is a dancehall song. On the dancehall scene, I have two new juggling rhythms dropping in the next two weeks.”
Cardi B will be making a club appearance in New Orleans tonight.
Ski Mask The Slump God says his former friend XXXTentacion tried to sacrifice his soul and that’s why he stopped being friends with him.
Ski Mask and XXX have been friends for years and just recently the “Look At Me” rapper told his fans on IG that he is quitting music. The next day he said that he would make new music if fans convinced Ski Mask to be his friend again. But according to Ski, XXXTentacion is just too crazy for him to be around, crazy enough to want to sacrifice Ski’s soul. As to the meaning behind that, he didn’t elaborate.
The Slump God later explained on IG why he stopped being friends with X. “This is a person who has before threaten my family told me I was suppose to be sacrificed on some crazy shit so no i didn’t just separate myself for no reason,” he wrote. This revelation comes as no surprise since Adult film star Marsha May confirmed the allegations from as far back as July of this year.
“XXX has the same thing. He sacrifices his best friend’s soul, Ski Mask. Sacrificed his soul,” May said during an interview with 6FT. The entire story is bizarre, but XXXTentacion has been acting somewhat crazy for the past few months.
XXXTentacion has already changes his mind about quitting music and is teasing a new single.
The Florida rapper has a way of keeping his name in the media and the use of shock-value has been working good for him so far. X took to Instagram on Thursday to preview an upcoming song while telling his fans that he don’t even considers it music. “Said I was going to stop making “music” but… I dont consider this “music,” he wrote. He didn’t revealed the title of his non-music song nor a release date.
Just last week, XXXTentacion revealed on Instagram that he will stop making music. That revelation comes just days after he said that he wanted out of his new record deal with Capitol Records. “Sad to announce I will not be making or releasing any music,” the rapper wrote. “I am tired of being mentally abused for trying to help people, I’m tired of the hate, I’m done.” After saying that on IG, XXXTentacion then announced that he will get back to making music only under one condition and that’s of his former friend Ski Mask The Slump God start being friends with him again.
Ski Mask says that is highly unlikely that he will be friends with X again because not only is he crazy, but he had to distance himself from him so that fans can start taking him serious as an individual rapper. He also said some things about XXXTentacion wanting to sacrifice his soul. “This is a person who has before threaten my whole family told me I was supposed to be sacrificed on some crazy sh*t so no i didn’t just separate myself for no reason,” Ski Mask wrote.
Despite those strong feelings, Ski Mask added that he will always have love for that alien-looking ni**a named XXX.”
Teyana Taylor is a celebrity in her own right but recently she got a chance to meet an even bigger celebrity, Janet Jackson, someone she idolized.
Last month, Teyana posted a video on Instagram of herself on FaceTime with Janet Jackson where she got emotional talking to the pop icon. She finally got a chance to meet Janet in person at one of her concerts. She posted a boomerang video clip of them standing together with their heads turn backwards. “Mothaaaaa f**kinnnnnnnn moodddddd: One of the best days of my life!,” she wrote. “I can’t believe we are really in the same room…!! she gives the best hugs I love you jannnnnn @janetjackson #Finally #SOTW #BestConcertIveEverBeenTo.”
Teyana Taylor has long expressed that Janet Jackson is her idol and even as recent as this year she wore a Jackson-inspired bare midriff ensemble to the MTV Video Music Awards. Back in 2012, she recreated Janet Jackson’s iconic nearly nude photo shoot for Rolling Stone magazine. So it seems Jackson has been paying attention and this is her way of showing love to someone who idolized her so much.

“I had to wait til today to post this because I wanted to make sure it wasn’t just a dream,” Teyana wrote. “But waking up today and it still being there I know now it’s REALLY REAL thennnnn i look up again to a post of you and I on ya page chillllleeeee it was just tewwwww much for me to take in all at once. You have been one of my biggest inspirations.
The dancehall legend did an interview with Winford Williams on OnStage last weekend where he spoke about Spice crowning herself the new queen of dancehall. “Well the queen of dancehall baptized now,” Beenie said in reference to Lady Saw being baptized and is now a devote Christian. The deejay then said Spice will have to do as much work as Lady Saw did to elevate her status to the queen of the genre, but for now she is the designated queen.
Spice hit back at Beenie Man hard calling him “badmind” and even suggesting that Vybz Kartel is the real king of dancehall. “D Rasta man [Beenie Man] vex true mi say a Kartel a the king a dancehall,” Spice said. “Nothing is wrong with your sentence “The Queen got baptized” we all know that, but you also do know that the king is incarcerated right.”
In his defense, Beenie Man said in a video clip posted on Instagram that he didn’t said anything negative in his statement. “What I heard about Spice saying this about my interview and I heard about what her fans have to say,” the Doc said. “I have to wonder, everybody have wifi but is not everybody wisdom listen to what am saying, when somebody say you’re the designated queen that means you get a post to be someone but you’re not voted for by the mass. When you become the queen elect then that means that you’re voted for by the mass and now all you need is a crown to put on your head to become that queen. Now if you get anything negative from that?”
A post shared by King Beenie Man (@kingbeenieman) on Oct 30, 2017 at 4:08pm PDT
“Bwoy me still a wonder how people take a compliment and turn it into criticism and conflict,” Beenie wrote on IG. “It mek yuh wonder who have a “Bad” mind. Unnu nuh have some lef over Sunday dinner fi go warm up later? Go find supm do and enjoy life man.”
Kodak Black and Plies will be dropping a joint mixtape titled F.E.M.A. sometime today (Tuesday Oct. 31st).
The two Florida rappers have been quietly working on the project since around summer and now its finally coming to fruition. The title of the project is Finesse Elevate Motivate Achieve (F.E.M.A.). The project will be revealed at around 7 AM EST on Live Mixtapes and will be available for the fans free. The duo didn’t revealed any additional details like tracklist or the guest list.
Kodak Black is still basking in the success of his Project Baby 2 mixtape released in August and there are already whispers that he is working on a full length studio album. Plies, who is a veteran rapper in the Florida rap scene, has teamed up with Black is is more of a newcomer on a few projects. Their joint project Real Hitta was released as recent as earlier this year.
Florida hip hop has been seeing a surge this year with a handful of new voices tasting mainstream success including controversial rappers Ski Mask The Slump God and XXXTentacion, as well as, Kodak Black and Denzel Curry.
The Atlanta rapper proposed to the “Bodak Yellow” rapper on stage while performing at Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia on Friday night. The couple was in the middle of their set when Offset decided to pull out a giant diamond ring and drop on his knees in front of Cardi B. The video below shows her being excited and emotional before saying yes as the crowd went wild.
“Jesus Christ I’m so emotional, [Ofset] I loveee you so much,” Cardi B wrote on Instagram while showing off her ring. “Thank you for seeing the potential in me since you met me .For giving me advice molding me and loving me .Your such a amazing man to me your family ,friends ,kids and you are extremely talented.I can’t wait to spend FOREVAAAA with you .Lets make a lot shmoney and love together.”
The engagement comes just a week after the couple broke up for 16 hours and it all played out on social media. So now everyone is wondering if that was a publicity stunt or was it a genuine breakup. Whatever it was, it sure as hell works out in Cardi B’s favor because by the end of the week she got a giant diamond ring. There were a bunch of reports that allege that she broke up with Offset just three days after her ex-boyfriend Tommy was released from prison. Some folks on Twitter were saying that she used the Migos rapper to gain fame and then dumped him. But judging from what she has been saying on social media about Offset this week, that could not be the case.
Offset baby mama also congratulate the couple on Instagram but not without throwing a few shade. “Congrats to my son daddy and his step mother whom he have yet to mee,” Oriel Jaime wrote. “Hopefully he at least get an invite to the wedding.”
DJ Envy got trolled relentlessly on social media last night over some racy SnapChat messages allegedly between himself and a female.
Screenshots of the alleged messages hit the net around midnight and all while he was sleeping he was getting hammered on Twitter. Imagine waking to your name trending on Twitter for all the wrong reasons. The Breakfast Club host responded to the messages on the show this morning. “I don’t know where [the messages] came from,” Envy said. “Whoever it was has been chasing all the reputable blogs, [and] nobody posted it. And I guess they found one that has.”
DJ Envy was the butt of jokes from his co-hosts Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee who trolled him this morning. Charlamagne even posted a video of the radio host/producer walking into the office with a big smile on his face. “Now am go tell ya’ll some real sh*t,” Envy said. “That was me and Charlamagne going back and forth on SnapChat.” Charlamagne responded saying that he is way more kinkier than that on SnapChat. “Can’t be true I am way more kinky than that,” he said.
Nevertheless, this is some added publicity for DJ Envy who is currently working on his forthcoming album.
NBA YoungBoy says he is heading to high school to get his diploma.
The rapper who is also known as YoungBoy Never Broke Again made the announcement in a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday (Oct. 25). The “Untouchable” rapper is currently one of the most promising new rappers in the game, but he dropped out of high school at the 9th grade so he could focus on his blossoming rap career. He was also arrested for a robbery incident that authorities say he was involved where he was sent to a detention center.
YoungBoy has since been trying to clean up his image and even signed a new deal with Atlantic Records. Seems the label has been pushing him to enroll back in school and now he has a chance to get his high school diploma. “They accepted me in public school,” the rapper said. He then revealed that he will be attending the Scotlandville Magnet High School in his hometown Baton Rouge, LA. Since breaking onto the rap scene this year with his mega hit “Untouchable,” YoungBoy Never Broke Again has been doing very well while building a name for himself in a crowded field. At age 17, he has also got some cosign from some seasoned veterans in the game.
The “Look At Me” rapper recently signed a new seven figures deal with Capitol Records but it seems like he is having a change of heart and perhaps wants to go independent. Without giving any additional details, he posted on Instagram Live that he is terminating his deal with the label less than a week after signing it. Unfortunately, those deals are not that easy to get out of so he will have to lawyer up if he is serious about that.
“Terminating my deal with “capitol records,” he wrote while adding, “I am not a “signed” artist and I will not be releasing music for a very long time. I’m tired of this sh*t.” Capitol Records has not released a statement on what XXXTentacion said, but something tells me that it won’t take too long for them to say something. Unless this is just another one of X’s publicity stunts.
The 19-year-old rapper, born Jahseh Onfroy, got a taste of fame earlier this year when his single “Look At Me” became a viral hit. There was also some controversies surrounding Drake allegedly biting his style on the single. He even tried to instigate a beef with the Young Money rapper but Drizzy never took the bait. Aside from his musical success, XXXTentacion is in a world of legal troubles stemming from a case where he allegedly held his pregnant ex-girlfriend hostage and assaulted her. He will be going on trial on December 11th for aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering. All charges carry a hefty prison term if he is convicted.
XXXTentacion’s deal with Capitol Records is for upcoming material. His debut album 17 was released on August 25th and sold 87,000 copies in the first week and debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album is currently on its way to getting gold certification.
Drake celebrates his 31st birthday today with a bar mitzvah-style birthday bash.
The Toronto rap mogul threw himself a massive birthday party at Poppy on Monday night in Los Angeles and a ton of celebrities came out to support him. Among the famous names at the party includes G-Eazy, Jordan Clarkson, Leo DiCaprio, apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas, Swae Lee from Rae Sremmurd, Tobey Maguire, Lamar Odom and more. Some celebrities had to fight their way through a massive crowd of fans to get inside the venue.
Drake posted a photo on Instagram last night of his bar mitzvah board. “My bar mitzvah board,” he wrote with a laughing emoji. The fun-filled weekend for Drizzy and his crew started in Toronto where he hosted a party in his hometown. He then moved the celebration to Los Angeles where he had dinner with his friends and family at Catch LA rooftop. His father Dennis Graham was also there to help him celebrate the occasion and was also present at Poppy.
His dad surprised the birthday boy with 31 bottles of Perrier-Jouët champagne and lead a singing session of happy birthday. Later in the night, we’re told that Drake took the DJ table to spin a couple records. Drake is half Jewish.

Nicki Minaj and Popcaan are among a handful of his celebrity friends who wished him a happy birthday today. “We slept on the same tour bus, performing 2 mins each on Wayne’s tour every night,” Nicki wrote. “You always gave me the best advice. Your success continues to inspire me. Happy Birthday brown bwoy! [Drake] #YoungMoney.”
“Happy Gday mi fam!!! Done know bro give thanks for the opportunity to be apart of this powerful movement, God bless you Health wealth and strength bredda. #Morelife [Drake],” Popcaan wrote on IG.
2 Chainz has announced that he has a new album coming sooner than later.
The Atlanta rapper made the announcement on his Twitter page on Tuesday night while posting some photos from his new TRU (The Real University) photoshoot. “New album on the way, I’m farther than I thought I was !!! Naw I’m lying I knew I had some shit brewing #nocap #drenchGOD,” he wrote. In other words he been hitting the studio laying down some tracks for the new project and he now feels confidence enough to publicly announced it.
These days artists only revealed new project when they are a few weeks away from being released, sometimes even days away. What makes this project interesting is that 2 Chainz released his last album Pretty Girls Like Trap Music in June, so if this new body of work arrives before year end it means he would have given us two albums in a matter of a few months. For Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, Tity Boi taps some big names like Nicki Minaj, Drake, Gucci Mane, Migos, Travis Scott, and more. The album was recently certified gold by the RIAA and is on the way to getting platinum certification.
Cardi B and Offset have broken up just a few days after her ex-boyfriend was released from jail.
The duo was once relationship goals for their fans but that’s not the case right now. On Saturday night, both Cardi B and Offset took shots at each other on Snapchat while the “Bodak Yellow” rapper went a step further to announced that she is single. Bardi posted a a photo of herself on Instagram showing the peace sign. “Peace nikka,” she wrote in the caption. The Migos rapper followed suit a short time later by posting the peace emoji on his Snapchat.
The folks on Twitter already have their theory and and all fingers are pointing to Cardi B ex-boyfriend Tommy who they claimed was released from prison three days ago. The Bronx rapper once said that she would help her ex get back on his feet when he leaves jail, so perhaps she is making good on that promise and that is not sitting well with Offset whom she has been dating since last year. There were no signs that their relationship was on the rocks so this bit of news came as a shocker to a lot of their fans and perhaps even their celebrity peers.
While she was a cast member on Love and Hip Hop New York, Cardi B and her relationship with Tommy was her main storyline. They two broke up after he went to prison but it seems like there is no love lost. While Cardi has been making a lot of posts on Instagram, Offset has been radio silent aside from the peace emoji. He even still has several photos of her up which means their could be a chance that they could patch things up. “Sometimes you gotta do sh*t the old you would do,” she wrote on IG. “So mfers know not to play with the NEW you!”
Kartel dropped the catchy single “Mhm Hm” last month and immediately he gripped dancehall with his infectious flow. The track shot to number one in Jamaica the first day of it’s released and quickly reached three million views on YouTube in three weeks with having an official video.
The single “Don’t Come Back” arrived two weeks after “Mhm Hm” and that track too was an instant hit. “Don’t Come Back” is a track about his baby mama Shorty although Vybz Kartel never confirmed the rumors. The video for “Mhm Hm” was directed by Terminal 4 Media and produced by Jones Ave Records, who also produced the track. The clip stays true to the theme of the song. “Get the oats, mhm / Get the Supligen, mhm hm / Get the nuts, mhm / Get the nutmeg, mhm hm / Blend it up, mhm / Turn it a your head, mhm hm,” Kartel deejay.
Vybz Kartel is currently dropping around a song per week and so far almost all of them have been hits.
Gucci Mane has been showing his new bride Keyshia Ka’oir with gifts including a Rolls Royce Wraith.
The Atlanta rapper and his model girlfriend Keyshia Ka’oir, who is Jamaican by the way, got married in a lavish wedding ceremony in Miami on Tuesday night that was aired live on BET. The wedding reportedly cost north of $1.7 million and was fitted for the royal family. The couple received a ton of support from their celebrity friends and from Gucci’s massive fan base.
In the days leading up to the wedding, all eyes were on the stunning bride Keyshia Ka’oir who has been getting a lot of praise for helping Gucci Mane to turn his life around. For that loyalty, he gave her the wedding of her dreams and some expensive gifts like a Rolls Royce Wraith that cost $317,000 and some expensive jewelry. Gucci also got himself a matching Wraith and showed off the ultra expensive cars on his Instagram page.
A number of celebrities were in attendance at the couple’s wedding including Big Sean, Jhene Aiko, Lil Yachty and his mom, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Karrueche Tran, and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
50 Cent and his ex-girlfriend Vivica A. Fox seems to have made peace at least on 50 Central.
There was a time when the two former flames hated each other so much to the extent that their feud spill over onto social media for the world to see. That is now water under the bridge because Fox appeared on the rapper/actor’s new show on BET, 50 Central. You can view a clip from the episode below that she posted on her Instagram page. The cut shows that the two went for a couple’s therapy session.
“I believe we have a strong connection and I don’t want to lose it,” Fox tells the therapist. 50 Cent then appeared in the clip saying that Vivica “dragged me down here” to which the actress pulled out a butcher knife and threatened him.
50 Cent and Vivica A. Fox briefly dated each other around 2003, but something happened between them in 2015 to turn them into bitter enemies that resulted in a heated back-and-forth on Instagram. In January of this year, Vivica says she was the one who went and made peace with the rapper at a New York Knicks basketball game.
50 Central aired on Wednesday night’s on BET at 10:30 p.m. ET.
Chronixx brushes off some recent controversies surrounding a video of him vibing Aidonia‘s hit single “Yeah Yeah.”
The clip surfaced last week showing Chronixx and his friends singing and dancing along to “Yeah Yeah” which is one of the biggest dancehall songs this year. The video angered some of the reggae singer’s fans particularly Rastafarians. A rep for the “Chronology” singer told Dancehallhiphop.com that he is not concerned about his critics since he was just enjoying a song that he likes.
“He is not concerned with haters and critics cuz they are just doing what they like to do,” his rep said. “Chronixx is a fan of Aidonia’s music and we are talking about one of our own. Aidonia is a great artist and the song is just a nice party song, so it’s like they are saying Rasta shouldn’t party. Why can’t a conscious reggae artist support a dancehall artist when this is our own music.”
Some fans thinks that Chronixx posted the video just to get some likes while some argued that he is stepping outside of his boundaries of his traditional message of love and positivity. Watch the video below and leave a comment.
Rick Ross keeps his foot on Birdman’s neck in a new video where he asked the rap mogul to pay Lil Wayne.
Last week, Birdman went on an epic rant on Instagram Live cursing out his critics including Rick Ross while telling them to stop speaking on his feud with Lil Wayne. As we all know, the Cash Money honcho owes Weezy millions of dollars and has even shelved his last album Tha Carter V. While Wayne has not said anything since that rant, Rozay responded with one simple message, pay that man his money.
“Am riding with a couple homies we gonna go grab a bite to eat,” Rick Ross said. “It just ran across my mind like damn I wonder if Birdman paid that man [Lil Wayne] yet, pay that man. Pay that man that man sold a million the first week, god damn what that man got to do to get his money, what that man got to do for you to pay him. Sell 10 million in the first two days then you don’t pay the man, god damn that man let you sweet ni**as ride around for a very long time man. Go and get a loan and pay that man.”
Rick Ross posted a couple more clips of himself calling out Birdman for his reputation of not paying people he worked with. The MMG rapper even dared Birdman to come at him. “You know where am at I am about to get me some lemon pepper wings,” he said. During his rant, Birdman claimed that Lil Wayne is his son and he will make sure that he is straight because he took Wayne from nothing and made him into something. But according to Rozay, he used Weezy to make millions and then refused to pay the Young Money rapper what he is owed.
